Why trend tracking helps
The pattern is the point.
Drift detection
TSH can drift slowly over years without a single reading falling out of range. The trend reveals what individual values hide.
Medication adjustments
If you're on levothyroxine, the dose is titrated by TSH. Seeing TSH respond across months tells you whether the dose is right.
Seasonal and life-stage shifts
Thyroid values shift with pregnancy, illness, weight changes. The trend chart contextualises any single weird reading.
Trend lines are descriptive only. Medfolio organizes and visualizes thyroid values you upload — it does not diagnose, interpret, or recommend treatment. Always discuss your trends with a qualified medical professional.

FAQ
Thyroid questions, answered.
For most adults with no thyroid issues, annual TSH is fine. If you're on medication or have a history of thyroid disease, your doctor will set the cadence — typically every 6-12 weeks during dose adjustment, then every 6-12 months when stable.
TSH ranges are wide. Some labs use 0.4-4.5, some use 0.4-5.5. Two readings inside the "normal" range can still represent meaningful drift in your individual baseline. That conversation belongs with your doctor — Medfolio just lays out the data.
Yes. Any test value Medfolio extracts gets a trend line if you have two or more readings, including Anti-TPO, Anti-Tg, and other autoimmune thyroid markers.
